Forno di Napoli has two locations; this one is near St. Stephen’s Basilica. Probably the best pizza in Budapest: rich, tasty, innovative, with fresh ingredients. Prices are very reasonable. It is very busy, so booking is highly recommended. One more good thing: the kitchen closes at 23:00, which is quite late for Budapest.

Trattoria Venezia

Trattoria Venezia is one of the oldest Italian restaurants in Budapest. They offer original Italian ingredients, premium-quality meat, fresh fish and seafood, homemade pasta, a wood-burning pizza oven, and a real, authentic Venetian ambiance. Comme Chez Soi

Comme Chez Soi offers great seafood, pizzas, and pasta, as well as Hungarian dishes. The ingredients are always fresh. You have to try their tiramisu; it’s heavenly. Even better than the food is the service: friendly, attentive, and fast. The place is small, but because of that, it always feels very intimate, great for a romantic dinner. Booking is a must.

Preferita

 Two sisters opened Preferita and created an Italian food haven. Simple, delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and very friendly service make it one of the best Italian restaurants in Budapest.

Riso Ristorante and Terrace

Riso Ristorante is a great place to have lunch or dinner after exploring Buda Castle. They have a lovely terrace (interior as well), great food, service, atmosphere, and reasonable prices.

Three Italian guys with a passion for pasta opened 2 Spaghi in 2012. The concept is simple: freshly made pasta and many different sauces you can choose from to make your own dish. No reservations, just show up, and you’ll be served quickly.

In Ape Regina there are two options: you can choose from the menu or you can go for the “all you can eat” version. The second option is much more popular. There are many dishes to choose from. The restaurant is very busy, so booking is highly recommended. They have sugar-free desserts!
